Pretty, pretty! Wish I had seen it this morning when all my thoughts were dark and moody. Now, I'm feeling sunny again even though the sun has gone down. The picture is still beautiful. Ain't menopause great? Thanks, Carolyne!

Karen - I don't know that I would use the word 'great,' but I can certainly identify with the dark&moody/sunny rollercoaster..rain here for the last 2 days, so this photo has been the sum total of my sunshine!

Emma - yes, it was a total surprise! When I left in June, none of the liriope (I think that's the purple stuff) had started to bloom yet - same with the crepe myrtle (pink tree in the distance), so coming around the corner of the path, it was like getting a present!
